Adam Hoad-Reddick qualified from Manchester University in 1994 and underwent basic surgical training in the Manchester region before being appointed to the Mersey region Orthopaedic surgery training rotation.
Mr Hoad-Reddick undertook a Fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, MA before completing his training and embarking on his consultant post. This incredible opportunity gave insight into the management of orthopaedic problems at one of the top international Orthopaedic centres of excellence.
After completion of his training rotation, he was appointed to the Cavendish Hip Fellowship in Sheffield in 2003. 
This sought after, prestigious post provided excellent experience in complex primary and revision hip and knee surgery under expert supervision. The year long post also included research commitments as part of a Sheffield University Senior Lectureship resulting in a number of publications. Close links with the team of Sheffield hip and knee experts were well established during that year and have been maintained, for consultation and team-working.
In November 2004 he was appointed as a Consultant at Wrightington Hospital specialising in complex primary and revision surgery of the hip and knee in addition to developing a hip and knee arthroscopy service. He also covered general trauma in Wigan during this time. This tertiary referral centre of excellence is steeped in orthopaedic history, the site of first successful hip replacement, performed in 1963 by Sir John Charnley.
Mr Hoad-Reddick is actively involved in research and has presented work regionally, nationally and internationally. Current research interests include the outcome of modern technology hip replacement and hip arthroscopy. He enjoys teaching, with regular input at national and international hip arthroscopy education events as a member of the faculty.
